Staffed by the Tipton County Health Officer, County Health Nurse/Office Manager, Sanitarian, Health Educator, Secretary/Registrar and Immunization Assistants.
Immunizations
A clinic for immunizing children against preventable diseases is held in Suite 1 of the Medical Arts Building, located to the South of Tipton Hospital. Please call (765) 675-8741 to schedule an appointment.
We also offer immunizations for adults. Please contact us to determine availability and cost of adult immunizations.
Health Education and Screenings
Blood Pressures are provided with no appointment necessary during routine Health Department hours.
Total Cholesterol and Blood Sugar testing are available at scheduled screenings.
Tuberculosis testing is offered at $5. Lead testing is provided free of charge for children up to age six and lice checks are also provided free of charge.

- Sanitation: The Sanitarian deals with issues of environmental health, by providing education to the public and enforcing health laws, codes, and ordinances. The sanitarian is also involved with air and water quality, sewage disposal, food protection and inspection, vector control, animal bites, nuisance complaints and environmental emergencies.
- Ruth Jordan Fund: The Tipton County Health Department is the custodian of this fund, which provides assistance to cancer patients experiencing financial hardship due to their illness. For further information, please call (765) 675-8741.
