The Speech-Language Pathology Department at Tipton Hospital provides speech and language services, as well as treatment of swallowing disorders.

The Speech-Language Pathologist is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and can assess and treat both children and adults in the following areas:

• Articulation
• Language
• Cognition
• Swallowing
• Voice
• Fluency
• Oral Motor

The assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders include:

• Modified Barium Swallow Study
• Bedside/Outpatient Swallowing Evaluation
• Oral or Pharyngeal Compensatory Strategies
