Mission
Our mission is to systematically involve all segments of the community in reducing school-age parenthood. Recognizing that the future of a community depends upon its young people, we are committed to enhancing our children's chances to grow into responsible adults. We believe that pregnancy before high school graduation has broad social and economic consequences for the mothers and fathers, the babies, their families, and for society in general.
We support interventions that will give young people the capacity to prevent pregnancy and the motivation and opportunity to continue in school and prepare for a productive life. We believe that providing improved health, education, and social services to adolescents results in parents and children who are emotionally, spiritually, physically, and financially responsible.
Goals
- To reduce the incidence of adolescent pregnancy.
- To develop a comprehensive community-wide policy that addresses the complex problem of teen pregnancy.
- To implement an integrated and coordinated system of interventions to reduce school-age parenthood.
